On June 17 th a professional holiday of healthcare workers was celebrated in Gabala. First, the event participants laid flowers at the monument of the national leader, Heydar Aliyev, and then the monument of eminent ophthalmologist, Zarifa Aliyeva. The chief executive of Gabala Region, attending the event, Mr. Abdullayev Sabuhi, expressing deep gratitude on behalf of Gabala people to the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, for comprehensive care and attention provided to the development of healthcare, protection of public health, further improvement of the social position of healthcare workers, congratulated all healthcare workers of the region in connection with the professional holiday. Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev, mentioning that this holiday was granted to the medical workers by the great leader Heydar Aliyev with his Order dated on June 4th, 2001, provided detailed information about successfully carried out in our country, health care reforms, new research and medical infrastructures. Reporter noted that today in Gabala a regional modern diagnostic center is functioning, new medical facilities are under construction, old health facilities, being thoroughly renovated, are provided with modern equipment, material and technical base and workforce capacity in this area are enhanced. Afterwards the chief physician of the Regional Central Hospital, Sabir Bayramov, head of the department of surgery, Shirin Mushtagov, doctors of Gabala Diagnostic Center, Kamal Mammadov, Mursaddin Abdurakhmanov, chief physician of the district hospital of Nij village, Zaur Bakhishov and others spoke at the event. The advanced healthcare workers have been awarded a Honorary Certificate of the district executive power in connection with the professional holiday of healthcare workers.
