In accordance with the action plan of the region education department, in connection with the Day of National Mourning - January 20th, a basketball competition was held among schoolchildren of the region at the secondary school No. 5 of Gabala city. Rafig Ahmadov, a physical education teacher at secondary school No. 5, noted that the competition was dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy, and announced the conditions. The head of the education department, Arifa Bayramova, said that on the occasion of the Day of National Mourning - January 20th, a large-scale action plan was prepared in the education department. Events are held sequentially. Today’s basketball competition is also held in accordance with the action plan prepared in connection with the 29th anniversary of the tragedy. In the final competition, held between the teams of the complete secondary school of Mirzabeyli village and the complete secondary school No. 5 of Gabala city, the team of the complete secondary school of Mirzabeyli village won, it was awarded a diploma and medals.
