A reporting meeting was held at the office of the Bum settlement administrative territorial district on the work carried out in the area in 2018 and the upcoming duties. Representatives of intellectuals and elders of the settlement community were invited to the meeting. Arif Allahverdiyev, deputy head of the Regional Executive Power, took part in the meeting. Eynulla Mammadov, representative of the head of the Executive Power of Bum settlement administrative territorial district, spoke about the carried work and realized measures in the settlement in 2018. The representative said that Bum settlement is one of the largest settlements in the region. There are 5500 inhabitants in 1329 farms in the village. Population is mainly engaged in fruit growing and cattle breeding. Natural gas supply to the settlement has been completed. A modern highway road satisfynig modern requirements connects the district center with the settlement. The center of the settlement was renovated. The population is supplied with constant electricity and natural gas. Two secondary schools, a kindergarten, a health station in the settlement are in constant focus of the representation office.A lot of works has been done in the settlement to increase the production of export-oriented agricultural products. To strengthen the feed bases of silkworm-breeding, 2600 mulberry saplings were planted and 83 hectares of new hazelnuts garden was laid. Eynulla Mammadov gave detailed information to the meeting participants about the work to be done in the settlement in 2019. Director of Bum settlement secondary school Malahat Dadashova, head of the health station Musalim Musayev, villagers Hikmat Abdullayev, Gabil Jafarov and others expressed their opinions about the activities of the representation in 2018 and told about their proposals about the work to be done in the settlement in 2019. It was stated that there is a need for the repair of the secondary school, the installation of bus stops in some parts of the settlement, the regulation of street lights, the repair of roads inside the settlement, and the drilling of dditional subartezian wells.
