The II International Competition of young rescuers and firemen started in Gabala.
With the organizational support of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, on June 23rd the opening ceremony of "the II International Competition of young rescuers and firemen" was held in Gabala.
The event kicked off at the "X" military unit of MES with participation of the Head of the Main Warning Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, major general Elshad Huseynov, and First Deputy Head of the Executive Power of Gabala Region, Abil Agasafov.
Speaking at the celebration, which was attended by Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and Georgia, Elshad Huseynov said that the competitions are to nurture the healthy youth in patriotic spirit, give them the skills of conduct in emergency situations of natural and technogenic character, and improve their grounding, and the provision of psychological support to people.
Reporter noted that in the direction of instilling a culture of life safety among young people, the Ministry of Emergency Situations carried out a significant amount of educational activities. This international competition, attracting young people from sixteen countries and six regions of our republic is just one of such events.
The II International Competition of Young Rescuers and Firemen will end on June 28th.
