Gabala “KOB Dostu” is available to the entrepreneurs.

On February 12, the “Friend of Small and Medium Business” (“KOB Dostu”) of the Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Economy began operating in Gabala. It should be noted that this is the first “KOB Dostu” in the Shaki-Zagatala economic region, and in addition to businessmen from the Gabala region, it will also serve people in the adjacent areas. In this regard, during an event organized in the Congress Center of Gabala, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairperson of the Board of the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, spoke about the Agency’s activities and services provided to KOB users, as well as about “KOB Dostu”, being on of the important support mechanisms of the Agency for micro, small and medium businesses. It was stressed that in addition to the Gabala “KOB Dostu”, in 9 cities and regions of the country, the Agency has 12 “KOB Dostu”. “KOB Dostu” is in direct contact with micro, small and medium-sized business entities in the regions of its presence, works to identify their development initiatives, establish and realize potential, create new KOB entities and protect all stages of development, and also the rights of entrepreneurs. “KOB Dostu” regularly holds meetings with entrepreneurs, and to date more than 120 such meetings have been held. Orkhan Mammadov, who invited micro-, small and medium entrepreneurs working in Gabala and adjacent areas, to actively cooperate with “KOB Dostu”, brought to the attention that during 2019 “KOB Dostu” will also start operating in other regions of the country, in addition, the Agency continues to work towards the creation of other supporting mechanisms. Speaking at the event, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, spoke about the work done in the region towards the development of the private sector and noted that "KOB Dostu", like other government support mechanisms, will contribute to the expansion of entrepreneurship in the region. Etibar Yusifov, Deputy Head of the Oguz Region Executive Power, noted the importance of this mechanism of state support for entrepreneurs from Oguz and adjacent areas, as well as for entrepreneurs who have just started a business, and invited Oguz entrepreneurs to use the services of “KOB Dostu”. During the event, a presentation was made on “KOB Dostu”, detailed information was provided on activities and services to be provided, and answers were given to questions from entrepreneurs. Then the participants familiarized themselves with the office of “KOB Dostu”, located in the Heydar Aliyev Center in Gabala. “KOB Dostu” of the Gabala region, Galib Nabiyev, said that there are all conditions for providing comprehensive services to entrepreneurs and the office is equipped with the necessary equipment and training materials. Volunteers of small and medium businesses will also work in the office along with “KOB Dostu”. Speaking at the event, entrepreneurs thanked the head of state for his continued support for the development of the private sector, especially small and medium businesses.
