Drawing contest on "Khojaly genocide in children's vision" ended.
Drawing contest on "Khojaly genocide in children's vision", dedicated to the 27th anniversary of Khojaly genocide, has been completed in Gabala. More than 100 paintings of approximately 40 adult and young artist had been demonstrated in final exhibition of the contest which was organized by Youth and Sports Department of Gabala District, Cultural Center, Gabala State Painting Galery and Children's Art School. Chief of Youth and Sports Department Fakhri Soltanov, director of Art School Ahmed Gandiyev, methodist of the Cultural Center Anar Rustamli and others by participating in this meeting pointed out that the Khojaly genocide was a terrible crime, genocide not only against the azerbaijani people but also against humanity. It was noted that the main purpose of the Khojaly genocide was to seize Nagorno-Karabakh and other lands of Azerbaijan, to harm belief and determination of our people for independence. It was hailed that the main goal of the contest was to bring the painful consequences of the Khojaly genocide to the attention of children, teenagers and young people at the same time to reveal and develop their artistic creativity. Then participants of the event got acquainted with the paintings presented to the contest. According to decision of the jury, Ruhangiz Babayeva had became the winner of the competition. While Laman Aliyeva and Zarifa Rajabova were awarded the second place, Aytan Gadirova, Fidan Hashimli and Banuchichak Shafiyeva were completed the contest in the third place. The winners of the contest were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts, while other participants were awarded with honorary diplomas.
