The Vietnamese delegation visited Gabala region.

A delegation led by Nguyen Thanh Hong, Head of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of the People’s Committee of the Quang Nam Province of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, visited Gabala region. The guests were welcomed by the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev. At the meeting held at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center, the Head of the Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, spoke about the history, cultural life of Gabala and various projects implemented in the tourism and socio-economic sphere. Saying that ancient Gabala, which for 900 years was the capital of Caucasian Albania, is the brightest page in the history of Azerbaijan, the head of REP noted that the region, known as an attractive tourist destination, plays an important role in the public life of the country, as an international cultural center, every year a number of international events, sporting events, music festivals and art exhibitions are held here. Speaking of historical friendly relations and mutual cooperation between our countries, the Head of the Region stressed that Vietnam was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan. Providing details to the delegation about the current situation in the region, Head of REP noted that the modern industrial facilities and factories were built and put into operation in Gabala, horticulture, agriculture and animal husbandry, being the leading areas of the agricultural sector, were highly developed in the region. Sabuhi Abdullayev said that positive results were achieved in increasing the economic potential of both countries, adding that progressive traditions were created to strengthen bilateral relations as a result of the joint efforts of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Vietnam, and these traditions are further strengthened. The speaker expressed confidence that the days spent by the Vietnamese guests in Gabala will leave pleasant impressions in their memory for a long time. The head of the Vietnamese delegation Nguyen Thanh Hong expressed his gratitude for the attention and hospitality shown. He noted that the socio-economic development of Gabala, as well as its charming nature, delighted him, and this acquaintance left pleasant unforgettable memories. The Vietnamese guest expressed confidence that cooperation will arise, develop and achieve successful results in many areas between our regions. During the meeting, Nguyen Thanh Hong said he was ready to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the two sides in the field of economy, trade and tourism. A video demonstrating the economic and cultural life of Vietnam was shown at the meeting. In conclusion, the parties presented memorable gifts. During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation got acquainted with the "Tufandag" Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex, the trap shooting complex, the Gilan Food Town and the Gabala Cultural Center. The delegation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam led by Nguyen Thanh Hong left Gabala with pleasant impressions.
