"Gabala Fight Series" Kickboxing Tournament was held in Gabala.

With organizational assistance of "Gabala" Sports Club, with support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation kickboxing ranked fights "Gabala Fight Series", organized for the first time in Gabala, as expected, have been intense and interesting.
Opening with the applause of the spectators in the Olympic Sports Complex the prestigious tournament was hosted by the famous ring announcer and showman Alexander Zagorsky.
First, Azerbaijani kickboxer Rahim Aliyev and Daniel Korbeanu (Romania) got in the ring. The opponent of Rahim Aliyev won in the fight, which lasted 5 rounds. By the end of the third part of the second meeting of Ukrainian ring master, an Azerbaijani-born Roman Mailov won kickboxer from Poland Mateusz Kopeć. One of the interesting evening meetings was held between our compatriot Ramal Aslanov and Chinese fighter Guo Jianfeng. Despite the rapid kicks of the opponent, our kickboxer with his heavy blows solved the issue in his favour already in the first round. German athlete Yuri Kehl also completed the fight prematurely. Telman Suleymanov (Azerbaijan) was knocked out in the second part; in the fight between the Croatian Teo Mikelich and Tadas Yonkus from Lithuania Teo won. This was followed with the top-rated fights «Glory Ranked Fights». First Chi Bin Lim (Korea) and Mosab Amrani (Morocco) got in the ring. During the intense fight African athlete knocked down the opponent in the first round, and then knocked him out. Cup was presented to the winner by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ismail Ismailov. It should be noted that Amrani is first in the ranking. In his statement the day before the competition, he said, that he arrived in Azerbaijan in order to protect his leadership title. In the next fight Parviz Abdullayev met with Chinese athlete Jiao Fukang. In the second part of the dramatic fight our compatriot sent the opponent in the knockout, delivering a decisive blow in the stomach. The winner was awarded the cup by the Vice-President of "Gabala" Sports Club Fariz Najafov. This victory was our athlete's ticket to the "Glory" series. In the semi-final meeting Ramal Aslanov met face to face the Ukrainian fighter Roman Mailov. The first part of the fight took place with the benefit of our athlete, within 2 subsequent rounds Ramal also never missed an initiative. The final decision of the judges was in our favour and kickboxer won on points. A fight between Yuri Kehl and Teo Mikelich delayed. In the first 3 parts the winner has not been set, during the additional round the German athlete was credited victory.
The next meeting in the «Glory» series was held between Ercan Varol (Turkey) and the last champion Albert Kraus (Netherlands). At the end of the third part the Dutch athlete won. In the fight of heavyweight kickboxers Jamal Ben Saddik (Morocco) and Hesdy Greges (Egypt) met. During the presentation, organized before the fight tensions arose between these two athletes. This tension showed itself in the ring also. By the judge's decision Jamal was removed from the fight because of violating the rules by kicking the opponent as he was lying on the ground. The cup to the athlete from Egypt was awarded by the President of Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation Adil Aliyev. At the end of the show, Yuri Kehl and Ramal Aslanov met. Despite the fact that in the first 3 rounds our athlete was active, referee saw the need for additional part. As a result, winning the competition, Yuri got his place in series of «Glory». Awards were presented to him by the vice-president of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation Fizuli Musayev and professional boxer Fariz Mammadov.
