The 96 th anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijani police was celebrated in Gabala region.
On July 2nd the event, dedicated to the Day of Police in Azerbaijan, was held in Gabala region. At first on arrival at the park named after the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, located on the square in the city center, the law enforcement officers visited the monument of national leader. Further, employees of the police department visited the Heydar Aliyev Center. Here they were given the detailed information about life of the genius personality. It was noted that as part of the National Government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, which declared its independence on May 28, 1918, the Ministry of Internal Affairs was created. By Decree, signed in March of 1998 by the Genius Personality Heydar Aliyev, each year on 2nd July the professional holiday of police officers is celebrated. Then the event continued in the auditorium of the district police station. Besides the employees of the regional law enforcement authorities, other officials and police veterans participated in the meeting. Speaking within the meeting the Head of the Gabala District Police Department, Police Lieutenant-Colonel Ehtibar Abduyev congratulated the police personnel in connection with the professional holiday of Azerbaijani police. During his speech, he told about the great attention and care to the police authorities during the presidency of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as an adequate assessment of the police work by the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Speakers at the event congratulated the police on the occasion of the big day, reported the exceptional merits of law enforcement personnel in ensuring stability in the country, in the fight against crime. It was noted that currently the Azerbaijani police is a reliable guarantor of protection of security, stability and public order in our country.
In conclusion, the District Police Department awarded diplomas, certificates of honour, and valuable gifts to the police veterans, group of officers, distinguished in the service.
