Young archaeologists and students participated in field research in Gabala.
The international summer school for young archaeologists and students, organized by the Department of Social Sciences of ANAS and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, has completed. Young scientists at the summer school were involved in discussions on the main results of research in archeology in the country and around the world, as well as in the main important areas. The report of the leading researcher at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, Ph.D. in History Jeyhun Eminli on the topic "Archaeological research in Gabala and their primary results" was heard. He gave information about written sources about Caucasian Albania and Gabala, which was its capital, about the first archaeological research conducted here, and spoke about excavations in the Selbir area, carried out in recent years. The remains of ancient and medieval buildings found in this area, water systems, manufacturing equipment and graves attracted the attention of young scientists. A five-day summer school excursion to the Selbir area was organized for the participants of the excursion. This area is of great importance for the world history of civilization and culture. They also participated in field studies.
