Musicians from 11 countries will perform at the 11th Gabala International Music Festival.
Music that sounds in different parts of the world and performed in Gabala in a peculiar and fascinating form will enrich the taste of every music lover this year. The 11th Gabala International Music Festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Gilan Holding, will unite world musicians. The festival, which has gain the affection of foreign and local musicians and has become a wonderful tradition, will be held from July 31 to August 5. The solemn opening ceremony of the festival will be held on August 1 at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center. The prominent musicians, soloists, conductors performing in various musical genres will participate in the festival. Such world-famous conductors invited from Azerbaijan, Russia, Israel, USA, Italy, Switzerland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, China and Turkey, as Fakhreddin Karimov, Dmitry Yablonsky, Alvise Casellati and musicians as Oxana Yablonskaya, Janna Gandelman, Edward Wolfson, Anna Koshkina, Zhanna Miniotas, Boris Andrianov, Sim Helen, Irina Starodub, Maria Buinosova, Umid Israilov, Modestas Sedlevičius, Ningvu Du, Doghu Kaptaner, Fyrat Semerjioglu and others will take part in the festival. The Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after U. Hajibayli, the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after G. Garayev, the Student Symphonic Orchestra of the Baku Music Academy named after U. Hajibayli, the Kyiv Virtuosi Symphonic Orchestra, the Clarte Clarinet Quartet, the Miraculum trio (Turkey) will perform at the concert held as part of the festival. Folk artists Murad Adigozalzadeh, Yegana Akhundova, Ulviyya Hajibayova, honoured artists Nargiz Karimova, Rena Rahimova, laureates of international competitions Javad Taghizadeh, Jeyla Seyidova, Toghrul Huseynli, Nijat Salmanov, Taleh Yahyayev, Mahir Taghizadeh, Fagan Hasanli, Natavan Hasanova, Narmin Najafli and other artists will delight the audience with their interesting performances. The festival will also host a concert entitled “Oxana Yablonskaya and her school,” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the world-famous pianist Oxana Yablonskaya. Just like every year, the Mugham Evening will be organized as part of this festival. Mugham lovers will enjoy the performances of the "Naz-nazi" mugham group. The grand musical festival of the11th International Music Festival in Gabala, will make a great contribution to the formation of a wonderful musical taste among the population and recognition of the Azerbaijani and world musical traditions in our country.
