An educational event on the transition to compulsory health insurance was held in Gabala.

As you know, from January 1, 2020, the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Compulsory Health Insurance" will be in force in the country. In this regard, works are continued in order to inform the public. On December 6, the next educational event was held in the Gabala Cultural Center in connection with the application of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Compulsory Health Insurance". The event was opened by Ataya Osmanova, Deputy Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power. Stressing the social importance of compulsory health insurance, Ataya Osmanova said that the implementation of this important social project will start on January 1, 2020. Gabala is also one of the 20 regions where compulsory health insurance will be introduced in the first place. Javanshir Malikov, deputy chief physician of the Gabala District Central Hospital and chief physician of the Medical Diagnostic Center Jeyhun Ahmadov informed the participants about the work done in the medical institutions of the region in connection with the transition to compulsory health insurance. They noted that with the close support of the Ministry of Health and the Region Executive Power, medical institutions in the region were fully prepared for the introduction of compulsory medical insurance. Speakers also reminded citizens of their responsibilities related to the transition to compulsory health insurance. Elvin Abbasov, executive employee of the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance, spoke about the social significance of the transition to compulsory health insurance and explained the essence of the amendments introduced by the Milli Majlis to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Compulsory Health Insurance". Elvin Abbasov informed the participants about the size of the compulsory medical insurance contribution and explained which services the insured ones will be able to use. At the end of the event, answers to questions from participants were given. The event was summed up by the Deputy Head of the Region Executive Power Ataya Osmanova.
