An educational meeting was held on December 13, 2019, under the slogan "Your vote - your future" at the Gabala State Vocational Training Center with the youth of the region, who will take part in the elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the first time, with the organization of the Gabala Region Youth and Sports Department. The meeting was attended by 50 young people reaching lawful age who will vote for the first time. Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, the Deputy Director of the Gabala State Vocational Training Center, Jamal Rasulov, greeted the participants and stated that the essence of the event was to educate young people, providing them with knowledge about the elections, in a word, ensure that they knew their rights and obligations. Then the Head of the Region Youth and Sports Department, Fakhri Soltanov, told in his speech that the purpose of the event was to ensure the implementation of the State Program "Azerbaijan Youth for 2017-2021", approved by the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as well as to educate young people who will take part in voting for the first time in connection with the election procedure, to eliminate the lack of information, contribute to the active youth participation in the elections. Speaking at the event, Adiba Ibrahimova, who will vote for the first time, and others called on young voters to be active.
