The Ministry of Emergency Situations alerts!

11 April 2020 | 02:00

The application of special quarantine regime on the territory of the country starting from April 5, 2020 and the establishment of the traffic restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection has sharply reduced the use of cars, and vehicles are mostly parked in the courtyards of residential buildings. We are going through the first and, we hope, the last quarantine regime in our lives. This regime requires more attention, careful approach, and solidarity with everyone! In many cases, chaotic parking of the vehicles at the entrance of the buildings, on the roadway or directly near the fire water supply systems prevents the movement of rescue, fire and other large vehicles of special destination during emergencies, as well hinders the supply of water from reservoirs and hydrants when extinguishing fires, and in some cases makes it impossible. The analysis of fires that have occurred recently in our country, as well fires observed in a number of foreign countries, requires timely implementation of necessary measures on this matter. Existing problem arises from the use of stopping places for cars yards, sidewalks, pools with water, even on them and other similar places as long-term parking places, as a result of which, for some drivers, these places seem insignificant, residents, thinking "I will park where I find a place", which block roads, create serious problems for rescuers who arrive to save themselves, their family members, neighbours, restrict fulfilment of their duties that require heroism, should be fulfilled as soon as possible, and then feel pity for it, but it is too late. Taking into consideration above mentioned facts, we once again remind you of the importance of parking the citizens' cars only in the places specified for it, keeping a distance between each other, so that during possible fires and other emergencies, rescue and fire vehicles and other large equipment of special destination can freely enter the courtyard of buildings, to comfortably use water pools and hydrants, and comply with the standards necessary to bring them into combat condition.
