Students from Saatli and Sabirabad regions visited Gabala city, a picturesque canton of our country.

By the order of the President of Azerbaijan Mr.Ilham Aliyev, from August 1 to September 6, a tour-campaign of educational nature entitled "Learning our country" is carried out for students of IX-XI classes, studying in secondary schools of cities and districts of the republic. On August 14, the students of secondary schools of Saatly and Sabirabad regions who are members of the tour-campaign over the Ismayilli-Gabala-Shaki route acquainted with historical monuments, tourist sites, picturesque places, customs and traditions, as well as industrial enterprises and social facilities built in recent years. At first 80 students, representing 2 districts, during their visit at the historical museum were informed about the history, culture and ethnography of Gabala, being the capital of Caucasian Albania for 900 years. They were informed that the main fund of the museum protects more than 12 thousand items with historic and scientific value and reflecting the 2,500 year history of Gabala. Then students, who visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, got acquainted with the photographs and documents reflecting the life and political activities of the Great Leader.
The tour participants, familiarized in detail with the production process at the "Beltmann" piano factory, were informed that the company is producing the world famous piano of "Beltmann" brand. During familiarization with the "Tufandag" winter and summer tourism and recreation complex, students were informed about the construction of four cable lines in the framework of the first phase of construction of the complex, the completion of five of the ten ski roads, opening of restaurants with all the conditions for the organization of travelers' leisure, the systems of artificial snow production for all pistes and possibility to render services for 3 thousand people per day. Then within the visit to the Nij village, students examined with great interest the "Chotari" Albanian Church. It was said that from a historical point of view, the church is one of the most ancient and important monuments. Nij village is considered a small model of tolerance. Also, students got acquainted with the ruins of ancient Gabala and the results of archaeological excavations carried out on the territory of the Chukhur village.
At the end of the tour to Gabala students from Saatly and Sabirabad visited "Qafqaz Riverside" five star hotel, "Qafqaz Resort" and "Qafqaz Sport" hotels, "Fitnes" recreation and health center, where they were provided with detailed information on the picturesque nature and modern tourist infrastructure of the region.
