Scientific-practical conference was held in Gabala.
Scientific practical conference was held on the theme “Tolerance - as moral behaviour and culture issue”, new project presented by “Land of Science” Social Studies Public Union (LSSSPU) in Vocational Training Centre on Gabala Tourism and Hospitality with the financial support of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Zahid Afandiyev, representative of Gabala Region Executive Power, members of various religious communities acting in the city, as well as intellectuals participated in the conference.

Kamran Babayev, Executive Director of LSSSPU, Doctor of Medical Science highlighted in the conference that citizen-state relations in Azerbaijan had entered into a new level.
Also, speeches were made in the conference on the themes as “Islam and tolerance”, temperance as the key means in the fight against radicalism and fanaticism, role of religious enlightenment in the solution of problems on the mentioned field.
Speakers were Elshad Mammadov, founder and chairman of LSSSPU, PhD in theology, co-founder and vice president for academic affairs of LSSSPU, Goshgar Salimli, PhD in theology, Elvusal Mammadov, senior research fellow at the Institute of Oriental Studies of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, PhD in philosophy, Elmir Guliyev, Deputy Chairman for Scientific Affairs of “Land of Science” Social Studies Public Union. The event ended with the reading of the appeal to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on behalf of the conference participants.
