Monuments of ancient architecture of Gabala are unique masterpieces of our national cultural heritage.
On September 4th students from Goychay and Gazakh regions, participants of tour-action "Learning our country", acquainted with the historical sites, tourist potential, production sites and scenic countrysides.
Initially, they were provided with a summary of the history and culture of ancient Gabala. It was noted that ancient architectural monuments of national importance built in this city are rare jewels of our cultural heritage. Participants of the tour-action have been provided with detailed information on the progress made in the socio-economic and cultural life of Gabala.
The first of all the guests headed to the Heydar Aliyev Center. Here they've seen the photos and documents that reflect the life and political activities of the Great Leader. In the historical museum tour participants received detailed information about the history, culture and ethnography of Gabala, being the capital of Caucasian Albania for the period of 900 years. Students were informed that the main fund of the museum has more than 12 thousand pieces of historic and scientific importance, reflecting the 2500 years history of Gabala. Participants of the tour-group, who expressed satisfaction with the exposition, took pictures in front of the museum. In accordance with the program of the tour, participants also visited the tourist areas of Gabala. After a close acquaintance with the Gabala city mosque and the "Beltmann" piano factory, the last stop of schoolchildren inspected with great interest was "Tufandag" Winter and Summer Tourism and Recreation Complex.
Reaching the top of the mountain of 2 thousand meters in height by means of rope line, from the top schoolchildren have seen Gabala city and surrounding rivers, forests, beautiful scenery, and took photos.
Expressing satisfaction with the tour in the ancient and modern Gabala, students of Goychay and Gazakh regions with pleasant impressions went to the city of Sheki.
