“Knowledge Day” was celebrated in Gabala region.

On September 15, “Knowledge Day” was celebrated in all general academic schools of the region in connection with the beginning of a new school year. Care shown to education in our region entering into the stage of rapid development in recent years was noted in details in holiday celebrations, it was stressed that 28 new schools were constructed, 4 school buildings were overhauled, modern technical equipment was installed at each school given into use, libraries, gyms, subject rooms, laboratories were established, new computers were given at the disposal of pupils and teachers.
It was mentioned that in order to prepare for 2014-2015 academic year, repair works has been done, the new inventory and equipment were provided at all schools. Due to continuous attention paid to the development of educational institutions in the region, today the opening ceremonies of newly built general secondary school buildings in Yengija and Zirik villages, overhauled full secondary school building in Boyuk Pirali village were held. The chairman of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan Republic, Deputy Mr. Fattah Heydarov, Head of Gabala Region Executive Power, Mr. Sabuhi Abdullyev took part in the opening ceremonies.
In holiday celebrations they spoke of the works in details done by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the successful implementation and development of traditions of state care to education, foundation of which was laid by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, emphasized integration of education system in the world with this care preserving national enlightenment properties. Speakers made a speech about the work done in the field of development of education in Azerbaijan, based on the rich and progressive traditions, national-cultural and universal values, and international experience.
They congratulated pedagogical staff, pupils and parents of educational institutions on account of “Knowledge Day” holiday, beginning of new school year and the opening of the new school buildings and wished them good luck.
Later, the children were presented with school supplies and bags. Also with assistance and care of the executive power of the region, elementary school of Solguja village, which was given into use in 2012, started operating as the main school. Holiday participants expressed their gratitude to the President for the attention and care shown to education in our country.
