The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev: Nagorno-Karabakh is native land of Azerbaijan.

The claims of Armenian invaders to historical lands of Azerbaijan cover a period of more than 200 years. During this period, they committed numerous massacres and occupied Azerbaijani lands using their vandal and barbaric policy. In the period of Soviet Union only the factor of Heydar Aliyev did not allow Armenians to realize the separatist activities for many years. However, two weeks after Heydar Aliyev was removed from political bureau, Armenians managed to separate Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijan and put forward the demands for the unification of this territory with Armenia. In the last years of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan was subject to great injustice. The executioner of Azerbaijani people, Gorbachev, and his entourage, consisting of Armenians, treated our country with hatred. The creation of special committee in Nagorno-Karabakh and the appointment of Gorbachev's assistant, Arkady Volsky, to this committee was the plan to separate Karabakh from Azerbaijan. At the time of Volsky, Azerbaijanis were forcibly expelled from some territories of Nagorno-Karabakh, and the first policy of ethnic cleansing was realized. In return for this, Volsky was “rewarded " by Armenian lobby. For his historical achievements, he was appointed as a head of the Union of Entrepreneurs of Russia. Not only Volsky, Azerbaijani people were betrayed by the leadership of Soviet government. Armed forces, led by Armenian soldiers, shed the blood of innocent Azerbaijani people, committed a massacre, and people were expelled from their native lands. Current leadership of Armenia leads the country into the abyss. Current leadership of Armenia is irresponsible and is not able to properly analyse what its steps may lead to. Actually, there are no negotiations being implemented. Azerbaijan does not participate in the negotiations in the name of imitation. It does not mean that we refuse to negotiate, but it means that we do not want to participate in what Armenia considers a tricky policy. Our participation in these negotiations "for the sake of decency" will mean the compliance with the essence of such the negotiations. Silly statements and provocative steps of Armenian leadership make the negotiations meaningless. They do not understand this responsibility. Although there are rational people and politicians in Armenia. These politicians themselves has already raised this matter and brought to Armenian public their opinion that current leadership of Armenia leads Armenia into the abyss. Taking into consideration that new government, after the occupation of the power, started making very promising statements, they want to resolve this matter, they criticized former government. During some time, the co-chairs of Minsk group also lived with the hope and, during meetings, put forward the statements full of hope. However, silly thoughts voiced by Armenian Prime Minister last year dealt serious blow to the negotiation process. Having said: "Karabakh is Armenia", he not only spread this lie to the whole world, which continues to this day, but also turned the negotiations into meaningless process. If he believes that Karabakh is Armenia, what can we talk about? If he believes that Karabakh is Armenia, although the whole world has already rejected this nonsense, then what kind of peace agreement can we talk about? I mean, it was political provocation. All the world knows about historical events of July. Glorious victory of Azerbaijani armed forces has strengthened its place in its positions. And now Armenians want to show this defeat as a victory. If this is a victory, why do Armenian authorities turn to Collective security treaty organization (CSTO)? They prepare for new great war. We have operational intelligence. We know what is going on around us. We know and we are to know. Our special services work very effectively. Therefore, a probing is being conducted to involve their associates, Collective security treaty organization in these matters. But they did not succeed. Collective security treaty organization did not make a single statement, just gave only one comment. After that, they realized that their efforts had failed and retreated. And now they again make up the legends that they won great victory. However, the reality is as follows. Main idea of Armenia's policy is to humiliate themselves, create an image of oppressed, poor people around themselves, cry and strip someone of any privileges, donations, grants, or assistance. The independence in Armenia is a mere formality. What an independent country you are, if you are not able to make your own decisions. What an independent country you are, if you are ruled by Soros. Pashinyan is the fruit of Soros regime. Soros has the last word in Armenia today. Let's look at the biography of Pashinyan's team: they are all either from Soros, "Transparency", or other human rights organizations. They turn a blind eye to despotic actions taking place in Armenia today. In Armenia, a journalist died in the prison from a hunger strike, and no organization considered this matter. And now in Armenia, two presidents have been brought to justice, criminal case has been opened, two former presidents, just for their political activities, everybody know about it, they turn a blind eye to it. Parliamentary immunity of the leader of main opposition party has been revoked, and there is no reaction to this. Why is the Council of Europe silent? Why are the speakers on Armenia silent? Why are "Freedom House", "Human Rights Watch", and "Amnesty International" silent? Because of Soros. Soros is the head of Armenia. Soros is a sponsor of these "human rights" (not!) organizations. Pashinyan says that Azerbaijan should negotiate not with Armenia, but with Nagorno-Karabakh. This is an attempt to change the format, and Azerbaijan will never agree with this. The co-chairs of Minsk group also stated the harm of such statements by Armenia. Armenia's settlement in occupied territories contradicts all the international conventions, is illegal, and is a crime. Pashinyan regime does it consciously. They provoke Azerbaijan. Holding in our ancient historical city of Shusha imaginary inauguration ceremony of the "leader" (not!) of false regime is another provocation, clear offence. Conducting some comedic trainings on the part of the enemy is clear provocation. The events of July are open armed provocation. Senior official of one of the co-chair countries of Minsk group has already openly stated that the ceasefire has been violated by Armenia. After July provocation, a sabotage group was sent to commit terrorist acts against civilians, military provocation against our military personnel in August, and the head of this group was detained. The goal is to disrupt the negotiations, then blame Azerbaijan and keep the status quo unchanged. Armenia is an aggressor state. Armenia is a country that sponsors the terrorism. Armenia is a source of threat for us and always will be such. If Armenia does not respect international law, then Azerbaijan will not do so either. If serious provocation is committed against us, there will be no restrictions for us. There are no military obstacles for us to cross into the territory of Armenia. If Armenians do not give up their dirty plans, the consequences for them will be very heavy. The President of Azerbaijan gives open messages to the people and associates about existing problems, matters and unrest. Ethnic Armenians living in Armenia and Georgia, in many cases being hidden under Georgian surnames, try to undermine Georgian-Azerbaijani relations in every possible way. The source of some of provocative events that took place in Georgia last year is the world Armenians. Their main goal is to break the Georgian - Azerbaijani ties. However, they will not achieve this. Some local Armenians living in Georgia are engaged in inciting activities there under the instigation of Armenian leadership. They show a tendency to the separatism. Azerbaijan has always been close to Georgia. Azerbaijan has always been a supporter of development, prosperity and stability in Georgia. Armenia has always voted against Georgia in the UN and other international organizations. Armenia has always been against Georgia in matters of territorial integrity. Azerbaijan has always been very active in the cause of Islamic solidarity. One of main priorities in the President's foreign policy speeches is the relations with Muslim countries. Azerbaijan received the most support in the UN from Muslim countries. OIC always takes the right position in connection with Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Muslim countries should know that Armenia committed genocide against Muslim religious monuments in occupied territories. Religious historical monuments were destroyed, and Muslim shrines were insulted. Let official representative of every Muslim country, shaking the hand of Armenian official, steeped in the blood of Azerbaijani people, remember this. Armenia always hypocritically talks about friendship in its relations with Iran. Is it possible to be friends like this? You destroy, break Muslim mosques, keep cows and pigs there, insult Muslims and their dignity, and then you come and talk about friendship? Islamophobia is a state policy in Armenia. They raise their children to hate Muslims. Armenia is bad country. The economy has collapsed, the market is limited, the population is shrinking, and the country is not attractive for any investment. Which interest a Muslim country is able to have here? Unequivocal, clear and crude statement about it after Tovuz events greatly satisfied us and pleased Azerbaijani people. It was once again demonstrated that Turkey is always close to Azerbaijan. This was another manifestation of Turkish-Azerbaijani unity and brotherhood. At the same time, other officials - Chairman of Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Minister of defence of Turkey, Minister of foreign affairs, and our other brothers have repeatedly demonstrated solidarity and support for Azerbaijan. This once again demonstrates that Turkey is on the side of justice, truth, and its brothers. We are also always close to Turkey and will be close to Turkey, we will be together in all the matters - this is already known in Turkey, Azerbaijan, and all over the world. Our unity is our great wealth. We share common history, ethnic roots, religion, language, and culture with Turkey. This is great wealth. We have built strong ties on this wealth in all the fields - political, economic, energy, transport, cultural and military. That is why the trade turnover between us has been rapidly growing recently. Azerbaijan has invested the greatest amount of investment in Turkey, and Turkey has invested the greatest amount of foreign investment in Azerbaijan, and this process continues. The relationships between the people are at the highest level. Therefore, these events once again showed the world these realities. We already knew about it both in Turkey and in Azerbaijan. Every year our relations get stronger and more, and every year additional topics are included in this bilateral format. Today, there is no field in which we do not work together and support each other. It is about 70-80 kilometres from Nakhchivan direction of Azerbaijani-Armenian state border to Yerevan. They know about it, experience psychological stress, knock on different doors and ask for help. Azerbaijan's close ties with Turkey will continue to develop based on the “one nation, two states” principle. In the early 1990s, as a result of the treachery and corruption of the people who were in power in Azerbaijan at that time, we temporarily lost Nagorno-Karabakh. We will definitely be back to our native lands. We do not claim other people's land, and we are not going to give our own land to anyone. We will restore all the destroyed historical monuments and houses. We will give the streets Azerbaijani names and return real names to renamed villages. Karabakh is ours, Karabakh is Azerbaijan!
