Azerbaijani people and political parties stand by the President unanimously.

Armenian armed forces committed the next provocation and fired on Azerbaijani lands using heavy artillery. As a result, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population and our servicemen. 50 out of 52 political parties acting in the country made a statement related to the treacherous provocation. This statement does not only refer to the solidarity between the people and government, but also reflects the political unity experience in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani people and political parties of the country stand by the President unanimously. The statement of 50 political parties of the country on standing by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev clearly shows national and political solidarity. The joint statement paves the way for establishing reliable and professional relations on the political ground in the country. Large-scale operations started by Armenia, selecting villages in which civilians live and infrastructure as a target and bombing there by using heavy artillery is contrary to the international law and should be prevented assertively. For 30 years, the occupying country has been ignoring the resolutions of the UN Security Council and unfortunately, it is not punished for this. In some cases, resolutions of the UN Security Council and PACE are executed in a few days, however as for Azerbaijan, resolutions are not executed. This approach based on double-standard is unacceptable. The occupying state is not interested in the settlement of this conflict. The Armenian government violates the ceasefire on the front line regularly in order to distract its citizens from these issues, to turn a blind eye to domestic political struggle. Militarist statements of the Prime Minister of Armenia showing non-constructive approach in discussions on the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, his crazy statements like “Karabakh is Armenia and dot” are factors preventing discussions. Armenia does its best for remaining the status-quo unchanged, prevents substantive negotiations. Armenia wants Azerbaijan to negotiate with the so-called “Nagorno Karabakh Republic”. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief refuses it absolutely, and the OSCE Minsk Group also disagrees with this offer. On April, 2016 and July, 2020 as a result of the crushing blows inflicted by the Azerbaijani Army after violation of the ceasefire by Armenia, the Armenian Army was defeated. However, Armenia’s defeat has not been a lesson for it. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief had repeatedly stated that we don’t have political and military interests on Armenian lands. Large-scale operations started by Armenia are threat for not only regional, but also international security. Political parties acting in Azerbaijan and signing this statement unanimously support all political and military actions implemented by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev in order to protect territorial integrity of our Motherland and security of citizens, to prevent Armenia’s large-scale terrorist provocations against our country, and state that they are with him. In such a complicated condition, all citizens of our country and world Azerbaijanis should come into national unity once again, everyone should contribute to deliver Azerbaijan’s true voice to the world. Azerbaijan’s true and fair approach requests to refuse personal ambitions and act as a single force in the name of national interests. In the fight for historical justice and truth, people should not be divided into power and opposition fronts, forces who want to do it are those who stand by enemies. Unfortunately, at such a heavy time, Musavat Party and APFP trying to show that they are standing by people and nation did not support successful counter-offensive operations of our glorious army for liberating our territories from the Armenian occupation together with other political parties. The fact that they did not support the policy implemented by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in this regard has shown their insincerity and true face once again. On the first day of the Motherland War which the Azerbaijani people looking forward, Musavat and APFP do not own national values, are not happy about the liberation of our lands from the enemy’s occupation and pour water into the enemy’s watermill. These parties bearing political enmity could not show the ability to stand by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on such a day. Political parties that do not respond to political dialogue calls represent the fifth column. The fact that Musavat Party and APFP who do not see reforms recently implemented by President Ilham Aliyev, do not respond to political dialogue calls giving a new breath to domestic social-political life do not join the national calls like unity and equity on such a hard and honourable day is remorseful. Today at a time when all Azerbaijanis in the world shows solidarity and support the successful policy of the head of the state, representatives of the fifth column demonstrate their true faces by standing in a treacherous approach, by the enemy. At a time when fights, real Motherland War for independency are going on in our territories, the country should not be divided into power-opposition parts. On the contrary, political unity should be demonstrated. They are not happy about the liberation of our lands from the enemy’s occupation, bear political enmity and pour water into the enemy’s watermill. Occupation of Azerbaijani territories and the expulsion of more than a million people from their native lands were due to the treacherous, negligent policy conducted by APFP-Musavat pair being in power in the early 1990s. The sale of Shusha happened due to the fight for power at that time. After this occupation, next occupations were almost unavoidable. Today President of the country deals with negligent deeds of APFP and Musavat party and removing this stain from Azerbaijan. Our territories given due to the betrayal are being got back. Now brave warriors of our army are demonstrating great heroism and driving the enemy out of our ancient lands. Today single logic is seen… “Victory is ours, Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”
