Starting from September 27, armed forces of Armenia, using different types of the weapons, including heavy artillery, have fired at our settlements in several directions, at the same time, our military positions. As a result of the fire by the enemy, 17 Azerbaijani civilians were killed, including 2 children, and there are also dead militaries. One of the most important factors that give the Republic of Azerbaijan strong army today is high level of morale of our soldiers. In recent days, the desire of thousands of volunteers to join the army to support our National army is clear indicator of the fighting spirit, desire for victory and perseverance of Azerbaijani people. The government has always shown the highest level of care for the soldiers who got different injuries in the battles for their Motherland. And today, our wounded soldiers, who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of their nation, state, receive treatment at the highest level, and, in the near future, will be proud to return to their colleagues. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme commander-In-chief of Armed forces, Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva met on September 30, 2020 with the militaries who were injured during military provocation launched by Armenia on September 27, and are being treated at Central military clinical hospital of the Ministry of defence. During the meeting with wounded soldiers, President Ilham Aliyev noted: I want to congratulate you. Since you showed great heroism and courage in your youth, fought with honour for the Motherland, and you write your names in the history of Azerbaijan. At the same time, it is very hard for me, for all of us, to see you in this condition. However, you can be sure that we will do everything that is necessary for your health. Every person who is currently being treated in all our hospitals, military hospitals, deserves special care and should receive support not only from doctors, but also from all our people. You can be sure that the government will be close to you. We wish you to recover as soon as possible, return to normal life and continue your glorious mission. You should be a role model for young people. Azerbaijani people are heroic people who raised children like you. An army is strong when its soldiers are ready to die for their Motherland. In this sense, it is no coincidence that one of the main aspects that indicate the power of each country is its army, patriotic spirit of its soldier. We always witness the service of patriotic, brave and courageous sons in each division of our army. Today, determination and pride of these sons defending our lands prove that the liberation of our occupied lands is very close. You can see the brilliance of great victory in the eyes of these brave men. Each their word is Motherland, Victory. Azerbaijan fights on its native land and gets injured on the path of truth. The difference is that our soldiers are the saviours, while Armenian soldiers are the occupiers. Azerbaijani people will recover territorial integrity of their state. We are sure that in the coming days, under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, our glorious and fighting army will write new “Victory Day” in the history of Azerbaijan. Expressing concern about the events on the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia, some countries called on both countries to consider the peace. However, Armenia, which has not been able to give up its occupation position and has been ignoring the declarations of higher-level organizations for 30 years, still does not back down from its actions. Current format of the negotiations did not bring any results. Therefore, in the current conditions, a call for the dialogue from any party is inappropriate. We will never forget the countries, organizations, and people who support Azerbaijan these days. Turkey has always openly declared its fraternal attitude and that it will always stand with Azerbaijan. Besides, the countries such as Pakistan, Ukraine, Israel, and Moldova have officially expressed support for Azerbaijan, and international organizations such as the UN, OSCE, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Council of Europe have adopted decisions and resolutions supporting our position. Azerbaijan is responsible country. Azerbaijani army never fights against civilian people. Mentioned position of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, always remains the same, regardless of the situation. However, Armenian leadership, which is avoiding open fight against Azerbaijani army, prepares new provocations every day and intends to fire at Azerbaijani settlements. The events that began on September 27 are clear proof of this. Daily presence of our losses among civilian people once again proves fascist ideology of Armenian leadership, which has not changed for many years. In recent days, Armenian army has targeted civilian people living on the border territories of Azerbaijan and their property with artillery fire. However, all our compatriots living in the front-line zone are in their homes, in their places, all say one thing: “Long live the Motherland " and trust our army. Heroism and bravery of Azerbaijani soldier in the struggle for freedom, fighting with honour for the sake of the Motherland and writing their names in the history of Azerbaijan are great example for the future generations. As a result, each Azerbaijani youth is proud of their state and their army. Azerbaijani people have long had a sense of care and compassion and will always have it. We are happy people since we have the feelings that reflect these spiritual qualities. We witnessed this during the meeting with military personnel being treated. During the meeting with wounded soldiers, first Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva burst into tears, which was the embodiment of the mercy of Azerbaijani woman. Everybody has once again witnessed that sincere feelings and ability to share grief are the highest characteristics of our people. During the meeting with wounded soldiers, Mr. President said: "When truth and professionalism come together, victory is inevitable. Truth, historical truth, international law stand with Azerbaijan. The victory is ours, Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" In conclusion, the President of the country wished wounded soldiers healing from Allah.
