The Armenian armed forces committed the next military provocation against Azerbaijan early in the morning on September 27, 2020. It shows once again that Armenia’s aggression policy continues against Azerbaijan and this policy demonstrates the fascist nature of Armenia to the whole world. By the order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army launched a large-scale counter-offensive operation. As it is known, Armenia’s military provocation is a planned provocation. They have been preparing for this provocation for a long time. According to the operational information we can say that Armenia intends to start the next new war against our country. Head of the state expressed his opinions while speaking in both interviews to TV channels and from the UN chair in this regard several times over the last week and stated that the aggressor state should be stopped. On September 27 the Supreme Commander-in-Chief addressed to the people of Azerbaijan. In this address, information on reasons of this provocation and ugly steps of Armenia during the recent period, were provided. The military attack to our state was a planned military provocation. Because, positions of our army, settlements and our villages were fired from several directions using different types of weapons, including heavy artillery. It shows the ugly face of Armenian fascism once again. Because, such cruelty to civilians may belong to only fascist states and it is not for the first time. In the events of Tovuz, and in other events after that, the Khojaly genocide was committed by Armenian vandals against civilians, and this time the main target of Armenia is the settlements of our country. They fire and want to create anxiety among the Azerbaijani public, the citizens of Azerbaijan, people living in the villages and cities along the frontline. However, on the contrary, citizens of Azerbaijan demonstrate their courage. Everyone is in its place, they are always ready to support our army, our state and they do it. Strong state, strong army. The attention paid by the head of the state to army building shows that the support to the country's military power is one of the main priorities of the state policy. In response to this military provocation, the Azerbaijani Army conducts a successful counter-offensive operation. As a result of the counter-offensive operation, manpower and military facilities of the enemy were seriously damaged. Several settlements have been liberated from the occupiers. On this occasion, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev congratulates the people of Azerbaijan. The Nagorno Karabakh fight and war is a nationwide combat. The President's order to keep the people informed about the events shows that the government, as always, relies on the people today. In this regard, President gave an instruction to the Presidential Administration, as well as Ministry of Defence to keep the people informed about the course of events regularly. We are sure that the successful counter-offensive operation of the Azerbaijani Army will end the occupation, injustice lasting for almost thirty years. Because the Azerbaijani people want to live on their lands. The Azerbaijani citizen lives with longing for the Homeland. People forcibly expelled from their ancestral lands want to return to their homes. However their homes were already destructed by vandals. All these were committed by the Armenian torturers and we are completely right. Our struggle is for justice and today the Azerbaijani citizens fully support Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani stands by the Azerbaijani Army. President of the country repeatedly warned that if they do not renounce their evil deeds, they will regret it. Tovuz events, our glorious army taught the enemy a worthy lesson in 2016, 2018 and on July of this year. However, as it is seen, it was not a lesson for them. We give them a lesson once again and we will do it further. Today our army successfully conducts a counter-offensive operation and this operation continues. The Nagorno Karabakh issue is our national issue. The settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue is our historical task. So, this issue should be resolved in such a way that the Azerbaijani people will be satisfied with it, the historical justice and Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity will be restored. We are on our lands and we are not interested in territories of other countries. However, we will not give our lands to anyone. We will never allow the establishment of a second so-called Armenian state on Azerbaijani lands. In the early 90s, the world Armenians introduce Azerbaijan as an occupier, aggressor. Unfortunately, at that time Azerbaijani leaders could not speak out against this propaganda. Azerbaijan was in such a difficult condition that our territories were being lost, but the international community was recognizing Azerbaijan as an aggressor. Karabakh territories were lost due to the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party, Musavat Party. Our lands were occupied in their period. Due to their treacherous, negligent performance, we lost these lands. I always said that we lost temporarily and we must go back to these territories. The sale of Shusha happened due to the fight for power at that time. The Azerbaijani Popular Front Party is directly responsible for the occupation of Kalbajar, Lachin. After this occupation, next occupations were almost unavoidable. Because, the occupation of Lachin, Kalbajar, Shusha created a geographical link between Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia. In this case, of course, supply of weapons, then supply of other material resources to Nagorno Karabakh became easier. Today – in 2020, some of our settlements have been liberated from occupiers, several strategic heights have been passed to the control of Azerbaijan. The strong Azerbaijani Army is based on the strong political will. Army building is always on the first place. Now Azerbaijan has a powerful, strong-willed army. All of our armed units meet modern standards and perform the task of fight fairly, faithfully and bravely. Today our various armed unions participate in the counter-offensive operation and under the leadership of a single team the counter-offensive operation is going successfully. Victories that bring us closer to Shusha. Liberation of 7 settlements and 2 heights bring the Azerbaijani people closer to the great victory. We are on the right way, we defend ourselves. We don’t long to possess anyone’s lands and Azerbaijan’s armed unions don’t have any purposes, targets on anyone’s lands, on Armenia’s territories. However we will defend our lands by ourselves and our occupied territories will be liberated from occupiers.
