Today the Azerbaijani people are making the brightest page of our state history.

Since September 27, the Armenian armed forces have been firing our settlements, military positions in different directions by using different weapons, including heavy artillery. As a result of the enemy’s fire, there are dead and injured civilians and servicemen. Intensive missile attacks made by Armenia in order to kill civilians in the cities of Ganja, Mingachevir, Barda, Tartar and other large cities of Azerbaijan is a fact of state terror. Armenia’s such war crime must provoke anger of the civil world and they must be held accountable. The whole world is witnessing inhuman, unfaithful and fascist actions of the official Yerevan against civilians in Azerbaijan. On October 17 at about 1:00 a.m. Armenia fired a ballistic missile on Ganja city of Azerbaijan. The third terrible attack on Ganja city that is the second largest city of Azerbaijan and located too far away from the frontline caused the loss of a significant number of civilians: 14 people, including 2 children were dead, 55 people were severely injured. All these events, of course, are a crime against not only Azerbaijan, but also whole universal values and humanity and Armenia must be held responsible to the world community. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev gave the true value of such barbarism committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan in his call to the Azerbaijani people a few hours after those events. Military-political leadership of aggressor Armenia ignores all international norms and principles and grossly violates its obligations under Geneva Convention; they continue to target civilians, many houses and civilian assets, economic settlements. They are committing crimes against civilians. Compact settlements, district and village centers, civil infrastructural facilities, hospitals, healthcare centers, school premises, kindergartens are being targeted. Bringing and settling Armenians from Lebanon, as well as other countries to Shusha and other cities of Karabakh is a war crime. Acts of vandalism were committed by Armenians in occupied territories of Nagorno Karabakh and other surrounding districts, houses were robbed, destroyed and burned, historical monuments, especially cemeteries were destroyed, looted and plundered. Our settlements left in the hands of Armenian vandals for 30 years have been relentlessly destroyed. Ruins of Fuzuli city liberated from occupation reflect the Armenian fascism. Mr. President stated in his call to the people that: “Being a mediator for fighting in the territory of occupied state, firing civilians by arming the aggressor state is contrary to international norms and principles, it is a serious crime. How Armenia get weapons and equipment for conducting a war with only 1.5 billion dollars monetary reserves which are bank reserves, as well as in case that external debt accounts for 60-70 percent of gross domestic product, all these factors raise great questions. The value of equipment destroyed and taken as spoils of war only so far accounts for 2 billion dollars. Supporting the aggressor materially and morally, arming it and being complicit of its acts of crime would not enhance prestige of any state or international organization. The Azerbaijani people have the right to demand answer of these open-ended questions.” Subsequent failures in the frontline have further deepened the political crisis existing in Armenia where economic situation is dire and people are experiencing serious social issues. It is no doubt that protests against the policy implemented by Pashinyan are increasing, counter-forces are going to action for taking revenge. Armenia’s people have already been opposing the criminal government that is leading the state and statehood to bog down. Meetings arranged in military registration and enlistment offices in Armenia give reason to say that they have already realized the truth and do not want to take part in the crime. Moreover, mass desertion is widely spreading, and practice of holding accountable the people who object to service in the army does not work. During his call, Mr. President noted that our people and army are making its own triumph chronicle and performing their liberating mission and on October 17 he congratulated the people on the occasion of liberation of Gochehmedli, Chimen, Chuvarli, Pirehmedli, Musabeyli, Ishigli, Dedeli villages of Fuzuli district and the city of Fuzuli from occupiers. Fuzuli is our ancient settlement, and its liberation means returning thousands of people to those lands. Azerbaijan’s triumphant Army is able to complete this honourable mission. Liberation of major villages of Fuzuli district and the city of Fuzuli from occupiers in a short period of time have made the people closer to the great triumph. Breaking the several lines of defence strategically located in Fuzuli’s line of contact provides new strategic advantages. The conducted combats are one of the brightest pages of history of heroism. Books and works will be written on hard battles for Fuzuli. Our army that has demonstrated great professionalism, competence, courage and heroism are restoring the truth. Today Azerbaijan’s Army has full advantage on the battlefield. Azerbaijan’s Army that acquired strategic points and heights could largely disrupt Armenia’s military and technical potential. The enemy that cannot withstand Azerbaijan’s Army had to leave their weapons and equipment and run away. Armenia’s 234 tanks have been destroyed, 36 tanks have been taken as spoils of war, 49 infantry fighting vehicles have been destroyed, 24 of those have been taken as spoils of war, 196 trucks have been destroyed and 98 of those have been taken as spoils of war by Azerbaijan’s Army. Moreover, 16 self-propelled artillery equipment, 190 guns of different calibers, 2 “Uragan” systems, 1 TOS flamethrower, 2 “Elbrus” operational tactical missile systems, 1 “Tochka-U”, 35 “OSA” air defence missile systems, 3 “TOR” air defence missile systems, 5 “KUB” and “KRUG” air defence missile systems, 9 radio electronic combat systems, 2 S-300 air defence missile systems have been destroyed. Today the Azerbaijani people are making the brightest page of our state history. Solidarity, mutual support, unity being experienced in Azerbaijan and our army’s heroism are the cause of this glorious history. Every inch of our liberated territories makes our people happy. The right Azerbaijan’s Army is fighting for its own lands. Our army shows its power on the battlefield. All our cities and villages will be liberated thanks to the steadfast will of the Azerbaijani people and heroism of our army, Azerbaijan will reestablish and renovate destroyed cities. Mosques will be restored in all liberated territories and the azan sound will be heard there. National interests of our people will be defended due to the professionalism of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. No power, no threat, no danger and no pressure can withstand with the will of the Azerbaijani people. Azerbaijan will continue its triumphal march until the great triumph, peaceful life will be returned to Karabakh. Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity will be restored. Our army will definitely complete this honourable mission. Karabakh is Ours! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!
