On December 11, 2020, YAP Gabala regional organization held an online video conference dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev, organized by the Youth Union. The meeting was attended by members of the board of the Gabala regional branch of the New Azerbaijan Party, members of the youth union and activists. Elchin Taghiyev, deputy chairman of the Gabala branch of the New Azerbaijan Party, Anar Shirinov, chairman of the Youth Union, and Azad Mammadov, editor of the Gabala newspaper, said that the whole life and activity of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was dedicated to the faithful service to the native Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani people. During the Soviet period, Heydar Aliyev who was elected President of Azerbaijan in 1969 has prepared Azerbaijan for the future period of independence despite of all prohibitions. Azerbaijan has become a republic with a strong economy, education, culture and human resources under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev. Heydar Aliyev skillfully brought Azerbaijan out of the first difficult years of independence to the level of a socially and politically stable, economically rapidly developing country. The independence of Azerbaijan won immortality thanks to intensive activity of Heydar Aliyev. Now Azerbaijan is stepping confidently to new heights along the path set by Heydar Aliyev under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
