The future mandate of the Minsk Group depends on Azerbaijan having a voice in the region.

On December 12, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Stephane Visconti of France, Andrew Schofer of the US, Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk and brought the realities to the attention of the opposite party. The visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to our country is not surprising after Azerbaijan's military and political Victory in the Karabakh War II, as well as the Victory parade playing an important role in communicating this Victory to the world. The regional situation is completely different over the past year from the last visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to Azerbaijan. The resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has changed the situation in the region. The comparative analysis of the 28-years mediation and the resolution of the conflict due to 44-days determination of Azerbaijan again reveals that this mediation relies not on justice, but on interests. Although the leaders of Minsk Group co-chair countries claimed that there was not any military solution to the conflict, Azerbaijan resolved the conflict by military-political means. As President Ilham Aliyev noted, those who were saying that there is no military solution wanted to keep everything as it is. However the status-quo was changed due to the will of Azerbaijani government, wise policy conducted, determination and solidarity of the people of Azerbaijan, mobilization of all forces and the courage of the Azerbaijani soldiers. So, President called the Minsk Group to account for 30-years omission on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan. During the meeting in Baku, we felt the excitement of confronting the leader of a powerful and victorious country in the true sense of the word. The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs know very well that during the war the aggressive Armenian army fired civilians by heavy artillery and even banned weapons. As a result, 100 civilians were killed and 416 people were injured. The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs that have undertaken the mediation mission in the settlement of the conflict, are also aware of this fact. Generally, the Minsk Group twice officially organized missions to the occuped territories. The co-chairs visited many times the occupied territories and witnessed the war crime of Armenian regime. The region must have new dynamics and there should be new developments in the region. Azerbaijan is a powerful country from economic and military point of view, and ready for that. Azerbaijan showed the ways of ensuring long-term stability and security. The Glorious Victory of our country generally paved the way for discussions on development of the South Caucasus region. To sum up, the leadership of Azerbaijan has always been sincere with its people and international community and expressed its intentions and goals clearly. However, the Armenian leadership has told lies to both the international community and its people at all times. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group carrying out the mediation mission in the settlement of the conflict should have been aware of this reality in 28 years. Our occupied lands were liberated by our Glorious Army under the leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Every inch of these lands contains the blood of the Azerbaijani soldier. At a later stage, the mission of the Minsk Group of the existing composition will not be needed. Now the task is to carry out reconstruction works in the liberated regions and to ensure that our people will soon return to their own ancestral homes by standing for solidarity and standing by our state. In the near future, life will be back to Karabakh and other liberated districts, our citizens will live in peace.
