Gabala hosts the International Youth Forum.

On October the 2nd the "No Hate Speech Movement" International Youth Forum started in Gabala at the Congress Center named after Heydar Aliyev.
The forum, which will last until October 5th, is held within the chairmanship of Azerbaijan in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe with the joint organizational support provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NAYORA), the Council of Europe (CoE), the Department of Youth of the Directorate of Democratic Citizenship and Participation of the Council of Europe.
The purpose of the Forum, which is attended by about 250 representatives from 50 countries, is to bring together young people and other participants active within "No Hate Speech Movement" on national and European levels, to share their experiences, achievements and expectations, to contribute to the duration and counseling of the movement. During the Forum, with the participation of local and foreign representatives the group work and discussion will be held on hate speech and discrimination. Within the discussions opinions and suggestions of the participants will be listened.
It should be noted that the "No Hate Speech Movement" campaign is held by the Council of Europe and is based on campaigns that are held in countries being its members.
The campaign is part of the "Online struggle of youth against hate speech," which is implemented for 2012-2014. NAYORA is the coordinator of the "No Hate Speech Movement" campaign in Azerbaijan. National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan joined the «No hate speech Movement» campaign of the Council of Europe in April 2013 and implemented a number of projects within it, including the Youth Week dedicated to the International Youth Day, a «No Hate Speech Movement» photo exhibition - and other events.
In addition, the Campaign's oath was prepared and submitted to the Council of Europe by Azerbaijan.
Participating in the forum, the Head of the Executive Power of Gabala region Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev greeted the participants of the event, gave detailed information about the history and economy of the region. In his speech, describing in detail the works that are held in Gabala today on construction and improvement, the rapid development of the region, the new implemented infrastructure projects, Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev said that in this picturesque region the forums and meetings held with the participation of world politicians, Head of State, as well as music festivals, art exhibitions, sports events, tours and other global events provide the stimulus to increase the interest in our region globally, and as a result the region is becoming known as a unique center for tourism.
Noting that this kind of international forum under the "No Hate Speech Movement" has a positive impact on the image of our country in the international arena and contributes greatly as the evidence of adherence of Azerbaijan to European values, congratulated the participants and organizers of the event and wished the forum every success.
At the opening of the forum the head of the sector on the work with the youth organizations of the department of social and political issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusal Guliyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, Chairperson of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Seyidzade, Ambassador of the Council of Europe to Azerbaijan Dragana Filipovich, Chairperson of the European Steering Committee for Youth of the Council of Europe Aleksandra Knezevic and Chairperson of the Sector of Education and Training of the Department of the Youth of the Council of Europe Rui Gomes.
