Croatia's former president Stjepan Mesic with delegation arrived in Gabala region for the purpose of acquaintance.
Taking part in the IV Baku International Humanitarian Forum, Croatia's former President Stjepan Mesic with the delegation headed by him visited Gabala region for the purpose of acquaintance.
In the city of Gabala, the delegation greeted by the Head of the District Executive Power Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev, was informed in detail about the history, economic situation, social and cultural life of the region.
It was noted that the historical past, as rich as the nature of Gabala, is one of the brightest pages of the history of Azerbaijan. Revealing interesting pages of our history, archaeological excavations that are held here today, show them around the world.
It was also mentioned that the existing manufacturing facilities, along with the rapidly developing tourist infrastructure, play a crucial role in the economic growth of this place being the owner of the scenic beauties.
It was brought to the attention that the products, meeting the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress, made at the enterprises of the modern type, are exported to many countries around the world.
Speaking of wonderful beauty and hospitality of the region, Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev mentioned the holding of the international events in Gabala.
Noting the detailed acquaintance with the socio-economic development of our country, the Croatia's former President Stjepan Mesic said about the similarity with the successful integration of the growing economy and rich culture of the regions into the economy and culture of Europe.
Then the delegation got familiar with the historical monuments of culture, manufacturing enterprises and the tourism sector.
