New Building Foundation for District Court Was Laid In Gabala

Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev  the  large-scale reforms are carried  out  on the  improvement  of  justice and court  system, new  buildings  are  constructed and  put  into commission    for  judicial body  and  courts. In January 24 the foundation of a new building was laid in Gabala for the District  Court.  Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Judicial Council Fikrat  Mammadov,  Chairman of Sheki Appeal Court Mubariz  Akbarov, Senior Advisor of the International Association of Prosecutors, Prosecutor  of  the United Kingdom  Mrs. Elizabeth Howe, Chairman of  Gabala District Court Vahid Sadigov, Head  of Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev, heads  of  law enforcement agencies in the region, court staff, public representatives participated  in the  events. Before the ceremony, they visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the central park of Gabala city and deep respect  was paid  to his memory. Afterwards, groundbreaking ceremony of new administrative building was held for Gabala District Court.  Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov and guests who delivered a speech at the ceremony spoke about the  high achievements  gained as a result  of social and economic development of our Republic, particularly of regions as well as  large-scale judicial-legal reforms and   stated about building  of up to  20 new  courts  in the regions, increasing  the number  of judges by 2 times and  their assessment  as  an example  in Europe  for transparency and modernization  of  court  infrastructure.  Head of  Gabala Region Executive Power made a speech  and noting that  the  construction  of   the  modern  building  of district court  will make  additional  contribution  to the  reforms carried  out  in the judicial system he said: “The justice  system has  a  long  history  which reflects  our nation's struggle for independence, its  glorious past. The basic principle of the justice system is supremacy of law, the issue on  people’s equality  before the  law. The  steps  taken  aimed to  modernize the  judicial system in society, continue   judicial and  legal reforms, facilitate  the citizen’s opportunities  for  applying to  judicial authorities create  a need  for  further strengthening the material-technical base of these  bodies. In this regard, there was a great  need for  construction of  a new  building  of  Gabala District Court. This necessity becomes true  owing to  Your presence and the foundation  of a new  architectural pattern  is laid. Such projects which  are  implemented  owing to  the  close support  and  care  of  Head of State are  real manifestation of  progressive reforms, huge  construction  works,  rapid social and economic  development.” In the end   the  Head of Region Executive  Power  expressed  his gratitude  in advance  to  engineering and technical staff working  in  construction, builders, project architect and  everyone  who contributed to the completion of the building  on behalf  of  all Gabala residents.
