A report-election meeting of Council of Elders of Gabala Region was held

Today, the report-election meeting of Council of Elders of Gabala Region was held. Participants of the event first laid flowers at the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to the memory of the great leader. Opening the event held at Gabala Gafgaz Sport Hotel with his introductory words, Head of Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev spoke about the role and prestige of elders in the country and the socio-political life of the region, the elders of the region, who died during the previous reporting period, Chairman of the Republican Council of Elders Fattah Heydarov, who was the elder of our region for a long time, sons of the Motherland martyred for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan during the Patriotic War were commemorated with a minute of silence. Participating in the event, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Council of Elders, Professor Vahid Novruzov spoke about the large-scale measures taken under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev to develop and strengthen independent Azerbaijan, the great role of elders in this work, the high state care shown to the representatives of the older generation. Deputy Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Region Tahir Hajiyev, who chaired the meeting, gave information about the organizational issues on the agenda. The participants of the meeting adopted the new Statute of the Council of Elders of Gabala Region, Mehman Ismayilov Ramazan was elected chairman of the Council of Elders of Gabala and other organizational issues were considered. Nazim Mustafayev, who chaired the Council of Elders of Gabala Region for many years, was praised for his services and was awarded the Honorary Decree by the Gabala Region Executive Power. At the end, Head of the Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev congratulated the newly elected members of the Council, wished them success in their future endeavors for the further prosperity and development of our independent state, and thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care shown to the elders.
