A regional basketball tournament was held regarding the “making good use of youth’s leisure time”.
Youth and Sports Department of Gabala region held a regional basketball tournament among youth on June 18, 2021. The purpose of the tournament is to ensure effectively organizing leisure time of teenagers and youth, as well as improving sports skills of participants, to increase the role of physical education and sports in the spirit of patriotism of the teenagers, including sports skills of youth. Opening the competition with his introductory word Fakhri Soltanov, Head of Youth and Sports Department of the region welcomed the participants, talked about purposes and duties of holding the competition and wished them success. At the end of the tournament Mirzabayli village team won the first place, team of Hamzali secondary school - II place and Hamzali 2 team - III place. The winners were awarded with diplomas of the Youth and Sports Department.
