Ministry of Emergency Situations appealed to the people regarding weather warming
The Ministry presented several basic safety rules to the citizens:
- never use open flame and smoke in grain crop fields, threshing floors, hay bales and near them;
- never throw materials soaked in lubricating oil, petroleum, kerosene, diesel and other flammable liquids, as well as glass containers and glass particles around;
- never toss hot cigarette butts and matches;
- remove dry grass and waste regularly from the yards of private houses, farming and industrial enterprises;
- while starting a fire in the nature, choose a specially prepared place for it, or previous fire place, an open area free of dry grass, shrubs, trees and wood chips, remove grass from the area in a radius of 0.5-1 meters. Never leave a fire unattended;
- never leave the area without making sure that a fire is completely extinguished - a fire should be extinguished first by water and then covered with soil;
- never start a fire on a windy day;
- remember that starting a fire is forbidden in the woods;
- in case of fire, if possible, try to extinguish it by available ways (water, soil, thick cloth, etc.) and inform the 112 hotline.
