Medals were presented to participants of the Patriotic War and families of martyrs’ family members
An event on presenting medals to the servicemen from Gabala district who were awarded for showing bravery in the Patriotic War and martyrs’ family members was held by the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Supreme Commander in Chief, Ilham Aliyev dated June 24, 2021. Firstly, the heads of Gabala DEP, law enforcement agencies, departments, entities and organizations, participants of the Patriotic War, the martyrs’ family members, public and media representatives visited the monument to the martyrs in Mikhligovag village and laid flowers on it. The memorial ceremony was continued at Gabala Culture Center. The memory of the sons of the Homeland who rose to the summit of martyrdom for the integrity of our lands was commemorated with a minute of silence at the event. Speaking at the event, Head of the district executive power spoke about the bravery of Azerbaijani sons in the 44-days War, as well as care showed by the state for the martyrs’ families, veterans and war participants. 83 servicemen who have participated in the military operations during the Patriotic War from our district by showing bravery and courage; successfully performing his combat duties were presented medals. War participants and martyrs’ family members expressed their gratitude to the state leadership for the attention and care shown them.
