Gabala welcomes the Music Festival participants

One of the most fascinating places of Azerbaijan – Gabala is happy to welcome the art lovers and participants of the Music Festival.
The 12th Gabala Music Festival is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and supported by the ministries of education and culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Baku Music Academy and Gilan Holding. It is taking place from July 31 to August 04, 2021.
This year the festival is dedicated to a significant event – the 100th anniversary of the Hajibeyov Baku Academy of Music. On May 26, 2021, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order regarding the implementation of appropriate measures. On this occasion, various events are planned in many regions and music educational institutions of our country. The 12th Gabala Music Festival is one of them.
The program of the festival, so popular in the music community, is very rich this year, as always. During the festival, the admirers of music will enjoy an interesting concert program performed by various musical ensembles. Besides the classical music evenings, the mugham, vocal, and chamber music evenings will also be organized within the festival.
On the evening of July 31, the first festival concert was held in the Chamber Hall of the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center of Gabala with the participation of students of the Hajibeyov Baku Academy of Music. Laureates of national and international competitions performed at the concert. Among them – pianists Leyla Zeynalova, Atabala Manafzade, Jamil Sadizade, Rashid Behbudov, Jalya Mayilova, Sabina Muradova, Gulyar Aghayeva and Fagan Hasanli, violinists Osman Mustafazade, Zarrin Aliyeva and Aysel Abdullayeva, cellist Orkhan Huseynov, vocalists Nigar Asgarova and Subhan Rustamov, as well as violists, flutists, clarinetists, and trumpeters. The concert featured compositions by S.Rachmaninoff, H.Wieniawski, A.Messager, A.Scriabin, A.Piazzolla, F.Chopin, D.Shostakovich, as well as Azerbaijani composers Tofig Guliyev, Fikret Amirov, and Muslim Magomayev.
The performances by the young musicians were greeted with applause.
In accordance with the festival program, the grand opening of the 12th Gabala Music Festival will take place on the open-air stage at the Qafqaz Resort Hotel at 09:00 p.m.
