The famous mughamists of Azerbaijan presented an unforgettable concert for the guests of the Gabala Festival

The Gabala Music Festival, one of the most grandiose projects of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, is continuing with great success. The mugham evening - "Zəfər muğam kompozisiyası", being part of the 12th Gabala Music Festival eagerly awaited by the audience, participants of the Patriotic War, and guests of the city, finally took place. On August 2, at 9:00 p.m., the prominent mugham performers of Azerbaijan presented an unforgettable holiday of music for the audience on the open-air stage in Gabala (Qafqaz Resort Hotel). The concert started with a choreographic miniature "Mugham" by Nazim Aliverdibayov. The miniature, staged by People's Artists Rafiga Akhundova and Maksud Mammadov, was performed by the soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Fatima Khalafova and Honored Artist Samir Samadov. The performance was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Rafiga Akhundova and the 100th anniversary of the Hajibeyov Baku Academy of Music. The concert featured "Zəfər muğam kompozisiyası "(Victorious mugham composition) performed by the "Qarabağ" mugham ensemble directed by People's Artist, Professor Mansum Ibrahimov. The performances of Mansum Ibrahimov, as well as Honored Artist Tayyar Bayramov, khananda Gulzar Farajova, Gunay Imamverdiyeva and young khananda Kanan Bayramli were greeted with applause. They were accompanied by People's Artist Elchin Hashimov on tar, Honored Artist Elnur Ahmadov on kemanche, Jeyhun Gurbanov on synthesizer, and Siyavush Kerimov on naghara. In conclusion, People's Artist, Professor Mansum Ibrahimov invited to the stage the Patriotic War veterans participating in the concert. Speaking on behalf of the veterans greeted by the audience, Nijat Mammadov expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care, as well as for the festival held. Following the festival program, the teachers of the Baku Music Academy and the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov will perform for the audience on August 3.
