On November 9 the State Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan was celebrated in Gabala.
In accordance with the Decree No. 595 dated on November 17, 2009 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Establishment of the State Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan" a series of events was held in the institutions, organizations, enterprises, secondary schools and pre-schools of Gabala region. During the festivities the presentations and speeches were heard, regarding the strengthening of the sense of loyalty and respect of citizens to the state symbols, traditions of independent statehood, informing children, teenagers and young people about the national cultural heritage and history of Azerbaijan, enhancing their knowledge of the state symbols of Azerbaijan.
On November 8 in connection with the State Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan a spectacular areawide holiday celebration was held at the Culture Center of Gabala District, a literary and art composition was shown with the participation of the masters of arts.
Firstly event participants laid flowers at the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Then festive event was continued in the Region Culture Center. Noting the entry into the stage of intensive development under the guidance and with the wise policy of our highly respected Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, country confidently walking today by the way of independence, the Head of Executive Power of Gabala region Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev in his congratulation of district community in connection with the "November 9 - State Flag Day" said that our tricolor flag is a source of pride for all citizens of our state experiencing a period of prosperity.
The festive event created a pleasant impression on the audience.
