Paintball Championship, dedicated to the Constitution Day and State Flag Day, was held in Gabala.
On November 8-9, 2014 the Republican Paintball Championship was held in Gabala among Law Enforcement Agencies, the Armed Forces and other state institutions, dedicated to the State Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Constitution Day.
The championship was held with the organizational support of Paintball Federation of Azerbaijan Republic, in conditions of mutual cooperation between the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan, National Olympic Committee and ASAN service.
First laying flowers at the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Gabala, the organizers and participants honoured the memory of the great leader. The opening ceremony was attended by the officials. Competitions, held in Gabala Shooting Center and Gabala Olympic Sports Complex, started with a rendition of the national anthem of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The aim of the tournament is to maintain increased physical training of the employees of the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, the implementation of sports policy in accordance with the recommendations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the education of youth and adolescents in the spirit of patriotism and provision of youth health service.
Each team of 6 people was gathered of the Armed Forces personnel and Law Enforcement officials, including employees of other government agencies interested in the championship.
The team members, who by the judgment took 1, 2 and 3 places in overall team classification, were awarded diplomas of the first degree, cups, medals, and valuable gifts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
