Secondary school students from Baku came with tour to Gabala.

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the educational tour-action under the slogan "Learning our country" is held among the students of IX-XI classes of the secondary schools.
On November 11, students of secondary schools of Nizami and Khazar districts that are participants of the tour-action over the route Shamakhi-Ismayilli-Gabala, got acquainted with the historical monuments, tourist sites, scenic areas, customs and traditions of Gabala, and social facilities built in recent years. In the district center, warmly greeted participants of the tour-action have been informed about the rich history of Gabala, one of the most ancient cities of Azerbaijan. Guests were told that the ancient architectural monuments of the republican significance are rare jewels of our cultural heritage.
Participants of the tour-action were given extensive information about the ancient and modern Gabala, for 900 years being the capital of Caucasian Albania, and today rapidly developing, becoming one of the most beautiful cities in Azerbaijan, achievements in socio-economic and cultural life, geography, ethnography, employment of the area. First students, who came to visit the area, went to the "Seven Beauties" waterfall in the village of Vandam. One of the places that caused the greatest interest among the schoolchildren from the capital was also Nohur lake. There were competitions among schoolchildren in football, volleyball and billiards. Then visiting the Nij settlement, students with great interest examined the Albanian "Chotari" church. Then arriving in the Chukhur village of Gabala region, students were provided with information about the ruins of the ancient city of Gabala and results of archaeological excavations carried out in the territory. Students from Nizami and Khazar districts, as a conclusion of the visit to Gabala, got acquainted with the five-star hotels "Qafqaz Riverside", "Yeddi Gozel", " Qafqaz Resort", " Qafqaz Sport".
They also learned about "Fitness" center, modern tourist infrastructure, created in the area. Baku students expressed satisfaction from the tour in Gabala.
