Festive event dedicated to the "Victory Day" was held in Gabala
Today, festive event was held in Gabala on the occasion of “November 8– Victory Day". The heads of the region executive power, law enforcement agencies, departments, enterprises and organizations, families of martyrs, veterans, participants of Patriotic War visited the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev, laid flowers on his grave and expressed their respect to great leader. Festive event was continued at Gabala Culture centre. Speaking at the event, the head of the region executive power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, said that the strategy of building the army, the base of which was laid by great leader Heydar Aliyev, is being continued today with great success by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, told about the strong struggle and victory of the army and the people united in an iron fist by his appeal, wished mercy from Allah for the martyrs, patience for the families of the martyrs, and health for the veterans. The head of Gabala region department of State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, Anar Aghabayov, also spoke and congratulated Azerbaijani people on the holiday. Speaking at the event on behalf of the parents of martyrs and veterans, Jalil Safarchinov and veteran, reserve captain, Mushfig Pashayev talked about the heroism shown in the war, expressed deep gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva for their attention. In conclusion, a group of the war participants, families of veterans and martyrs were awarded orders and medals appointed by the order of the head of state. The event on the occasion of the "Victory Day" was continued by literary and artistic program prepared by the employees of the cultural sphere of the region.
