3903 tourists visited Gabala State Historical-Artistic Reserve last year

Gabala State Historical-Artistic Reserve is one of historical places most visited by local and international tourists, as well as guests visiting the district in all seasons of a year. 3903 people visited the Reserve in 2021. 3657 of visitors were locals and 246 were international tourists. Within the last year, visitors of the Reserve were provided with guidance services in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. They visited historical places of the Reserve – the Ancient City, Salbir and Gala, as well as places of archaeological excavations and got acquainted with exhibits displayed in the showroom of Gabala Archaeological Center. Visitors were informed on the pottery, engraving, and beekeeping in special places created within the Reserve, handicrafts made of clay and wooden materials by local craftsmen were displayed. Visitors also got acquainted with books dedicated to life and creative works of the genius poet Nizami Ganjavi regarding the declaration of 2021 as “Year of Nizami” in Azerbaijan, articles published in periodicals, as well as the collection of books on “History, ethnography and folklore of Gabala” published with the financial support of SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korea Cultural Exchange Association.
