Memorial Day of the national leader was celebrated.
Gabala Region Council of Elders held an event associated with the day of commemoration of the great leader Heydar Aliyev.
At the beginning, the representatives of the elders paid tribute to the national leader, laid flowers at the monument set up in the center of Gabala.
Then the event was continued at the headquarters of the Council of Elders. Day of Commemoration was opened by chairman of the District Council of Elders Nazim Mustafayev. Retired teacher Farman Azizli made a presentation on the life and political activity of the national leader. For a long time working in the party bodies and executive power authorities in the period of Heydar Aliyev, pensioner Gudrat Samadov shared his memories of the great leader.
On behalf of the elders about the merits of Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people speeches were made by Vagif Azimov, Ayyub Akhmedov, Nureddin Shirinov and others.
