The Japanese ambassador to Azerbaijan visited Gabala region

On February 23, 2022, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Wada Junichi visited Gabala. During the meeting of Ambassador Wada Junichi and the delegation led by him with the head of the region’s executive power Sabuhi Abudllayev, they discussed the further expansion of economic relations between Japan and Azerbaijan in recent years. The head of the executive power gave detailed information about the socio-economic indicators of the region, and noted that a clear example of socio-economic development, the foundation of which was laid by the great leader Heydar Aliyev and is successfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, is more clearly seen in the example of the Gabala region, the new production facilities, industrial and tourism facilities established in the region plays an exceptional role in increasing the dynamics of economic development of Gabala, and informed the delegation that the relations between the two countries were further strengthened by the construction and commissioning of a 280-seat secondary school in Uludash village in 2006 and a 240-seat secondary school in Kotuklu village in 2007 through the Japanese Embassy in Azerbaijan.. Emphasizing that 2022 is called the “Year of Friendship” on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Azerbaijan, the ambassador praised the landscaping works carried out in Gabala region and wished success to the region in developing socio-economic spheres. During the visit, Ambassador Wada Junichi and his delegation visited Gabala “Gilan Qida Village”, “Savalan” grape processing and wine production enterprise of ASPI Agro LLC, Gabala Farel breeding farm, Chukhur Gabala State Historical and Artistic Reserve, Albanian Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Bulun) in Nij settlement and got acquainted with the tourism infrastructure.
