An event entitled “Shusha, the cradle of our culture” was held
In connection with the announcement of 2022 as the “Year of Shusha” in our country, an event entitled “Shusha, the cradle of our culture” was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Gabala with the participation of teachers and students of Shusha region secondary school No. 24 and students of Gabala Children's Art School. Opening the event with his introductory words, Director of the Center Fuad Gasimzada stressed the important political and historical significance of President Ilham Aliyev’s Order announcing 2022 the “Year of Shusha” in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and noted that by adopting this decision, special attention and great respect are given to the historical and cultural values of our people. Speakers spoke about the history of the Shusha city, the prominent musicians raised by the Shusha city, the historical and cultural center of Azerbaijan, called the “Conservatory of the East”. Sabina Gozalova, director of Shusha region secondary school No. 24, said they wanted to return to their lands as soon as possible and host events in this direction in Shusha. The event continued with dances, poems and songs performed by schoolchildren.
