Tourist infrastructure is rapidly developing in Gabala.

In recent years, the number of tourists coming to Gabala region, that is conducive for tourism because of the historical past and geographical conditions, significantly increased as a result of the expansion of tourism infrastructure, construction of 20 new and modern recreation centers, hotels, sports and recreation complexes, asphalt roads, bridges and other works in this direction. 
Only in 2014 the number of local and foreign visitors to Gabala region made 49969 people. It's 4294 more than the number of tourists in the past year. 33019 people of them are local and 16950 people - citizens of foreign countries. Among the guests who came for the past year, 44357 people took rest at various tourist sites, 4901 people came with a working trip, and 711 people got treatment in sanatoriums.
In 2014 Gabala held more than 30 cultural events of national and international standings. Due to the fact that such events held in the region are attractive for tourism, it has led to a growing increase in the number of people coming here every year. Thus, in 2009 - 29558, in 2010 - 30450, in 2011 - 39960, in 2012 - 42545, and in 2013 - 45675 tourists arrived in Gabala region.
During his visit to Gabala on September 22, 2014 the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new four-star "Qafqaz Yengija Thermal Hotel & Spa" complex, meeting the modern standards. The six-story complex, consisting of 61 rooms, built in a beautiful architectural style on 9 acres in the village of Yengija, all conditions have been created for guests to relax.
Currently, the second phase of the construction of “Tufandag” Winter-Summer Tourism Complex has started, and in the trap shooting and archery complex - the third stage. The construction works in the aquapark, sports and entertainment golf complex, and new hotel complexes started.
In order to organize the service in the centers of tourism and recreation of the region at a high level the opportunities have been created for the provision of a modern restaurant and hotel services, as well as walks in the woods, riding, on a boat, fishing and skiing, trips to the area attractions and historical monuments.
