The memory of January 20 martyrs was honoured.
An event in connection with the twenty-five anniversary of the 20 January tragedy was held In Territorial Tax Department No.10.
Opening the event with the welcoming remarks, the Head of the Department Shahismail Bayramov paid tribute to martyrs on January 20th with moment of silence. The Head of the Unit Elnur Yolchiyev, inspector Orkhan Niftaliyev and other spoke on the topic. The speakers noted that the events of Bloody January of 1990 are the example of true heroism of the Azerbaijani people in the struggle for freedom, a glorious page in the history of the people ready to make any sacrifice to protect dignity.
He noted that the tragedy of January 20 entered the history of Azerbaijan as the top of the national liberation movement of our people for independence, autonomy and freedom, and this page that was open to the sounds of bullets of Empire, was written in the eternity with blood of martyrs.
At the end of the event the video materials that reflect the tragedy were shown.
