"Martyrs are unforgettable"
Gabala District Department of Youth and Sports, together with Tourism and Hotel Business Vocational Training Center held an event called "Martyrs are unforgettable", dedicated to the twenty-fifth anniversary of the January 20 Tragedy. The event was attended by teaching and student collectives of the center, as well as active youth of the region.
The meeting was opened with the introductory speech by the director of Vocational Training Center Eyvaz Kazimov, the memory of martyrs was honored with a moment of silence. Then the Head of the District Youth and Sports Department Fakhri Soltanov told about the causes of "January 20 tragedy", made a report on the socio-political events of the time that caused the tragedy.
Within the presentations on the report, the teacher of training center Ilham Afandiev, Deputy Director Reykhan Mammadova, director of Children and Family Support Center Rena Makhmudova told that the struggle for freedom and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was written down in history as a heroic page, and people who died during the bloody January tragedy will remain forever in our memory.
