The Head of Gabala Region Department of Culture and Tourism Nargila Gafarova opened the meeting with the introductory words, the blessed memory of January 20 martyrs was honored with a moment of silence.
In her speech Nargila Gafarova noted that January 20 went down in the history of Azerbaijan as a national tragedy, and at the same time as the top of the national liberation movement of our people for independence, autonomy and freedom, and stressed that the genocide was inscribed in the heroic annals of our people as a new page.
Then, in their speeches opinions about the causes and culprits of the tragedy were expressed by chief consultant of the District Department of Culture and Tourism Anar Rustamli, director of the Cultural Center Vugar Salimov, the chief accountant of the department Namig Aghayev, director of the Local History Museum of Gabala Khalis Mammadov, director of the school of arts Ahmad Gandiyev, employee of the cultural center Khayal Ganjimov.
