Literary and art composition devoted to "the Twenty-fifth anniversary of the January 20 tragedy."
In connection with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the January 20 tragedy, Department of Youth and Sports of Gabala region with N military unit of Ministry of Emergency Situations presented a literary and artistic composition.
Initially, the event participants visited corner at the military unit dedicated to the memory of martyrs of January 20. At the official ceremony the National anthem of Azerbaijan was sounded, the memory of martyrs was honored with a moment of silence.
Then Deputy Commander of the Military Unit Ilham Aliyev opened the event. Informing during the event about the January 20 tragedy, Head of the District Department of Youth and Sports Fakhri Soltanov told about the socio-political events, anticipating this genocide. The students of the secondary school № 4 of Gabala presented to the soldiers literary and art composition devoted to the tragedy of bloody January, which went down in the history of the struggle for freedom and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan as a heroic page. During the event the soldiers of the military unit read poems dedicated to the victims of the 20 January tragedy.
In conclusion of the event a documentary reflecting the events of the 20th of January was presented.
