Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Colombia in Azerbaijan Assad Jose Jater Pena on February 6 was in Gabala region with inception visit. The guest was received in the building of the District Executive Power by the first deputy head of the DEP Abil Aghasafov. During the meeting, Assad Jose Jater Pena was informed in detail about the area, the rapid development of Gabala was mentioned. It was noted that in accordance with the international standards a modern tourist infrastructure was created in the area, industrial and manufacturing facilities, sports facilities, an international airport, scientific research and cultural centers, facilities of the sanatorium therapy, school buildings, new roads and bridges were built. It was noted that Gabala, already recognized as one of the cultural centers of the world, hosts international meetings, forums, music festivals, art exhibitions, sports games and other activities. During the meeting, the attention was drawn to the existence of unique model of tolerance in international Gabala. Columbian guest expressed his admiration for the broad potential of the area and works carried out here, voiced his dream of formation of twin city relations between Gabala and one of the cities of his motherland. Following the meeting, the guest was presented with gifts. Assad Jose Jater Pena acquainted with the monuments of history and culture of the area, tourist facilities and a number of industrial enterprises.
