"Tufandag" Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex launched free training for students on the types of skiing.

For the first time in Azerbaijan free training on the types of skiing started in "Tufandag" Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex in Gabala. The complex has all the conditions to enhance the interest of school students to the types of skiing, master the secrets of skiing and prepare them as professional athletes.
During this ski season, students of Gabala and surrounding areas, in accordance with the schedule will take advantage of rendered rope and ski services. At the new ski school of the complex coaches invited from Turkey, for 50 minutes trained teenagers the straight slip skiing on ice, turning right or left and braking. For the delivery of students from school to the complex and the return trip buses are provided, students are provided with ski garments. The patrol to ensure safety and a group of doctors to ensure the health of students operate here. Ski lessons organized for students will continue until the end of March.
6 professional instructors invited to the complex from Turkey, and 2 from Azerbaijan give lessons. In the future, the organization of a variety of competitions among adolescents and young people taking part in training, and participation in local and international tournaments are planned.
Construction works on 3 of the 4 ropeways and 5 of 10 ski roads of the complex, put into operation in January of last year, with the participation of the President Ilham Aliyev, are finished. For the amusement of tourists various restaurants with all conditions and five-star "Tufandag" hotel were launched, the entire ski trail equipped with system generating artificial snow. The complex can serve 3 thousand people during the day.
During the past year 140 thousand local and foreign visitors have benefited from services of "Tufandag" Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex. With the start of the new ski season in this complex, which gave impetus to the development of winter tourism in Gabala, about 10 thousand ski lovers came here from Baku, different cities and regions of the country and foreign countries. Currently, different tour companies organize special tours related to skiing to the "Tufandag" Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex.
Reaching the top of high mountains via the ropeway, tourists see the city of Gabala and Duruja village, rivers, forests, beautiful landscape surrounding the city of Gabala, make memorable pictures. Paying 10 manat per person they can overcome the mountains distance of 5 kilometres with the 3 ropeways of the complex. Rising to a height of 1660 meters, on top of the mountain, tourists use the services of cafes and restaurants.
