The memory of the Khojaly genocide was honoured.
The Gabala Culture Center hosted an event in connection with the twenty-third anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy. The meeting was opened with the introductory speech by Nargila Gafarova, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Gabala Region. Initially, participants of the event with a minute's silence honoured the memory of our compatriots who died as a result of the Khojaly massacre.
Then delivering the report about the historical roots of the Khojaly genocide, Nargila Gafarova noted treacherous position of Armenians living in the territory as guests in relation to indigenous peoples, in particular, Turks and Azerbaijanis.
During their speeches at the event, members of district cultural and educational networks have expressed their opinion in connection with Khojaly genocide.
